Our 100 Year Summer Weekend

Manley Village Hall has a present for our village!

100 years ago this June, in 1926, Manley Village Hall was built: “by public subscription…for the entertainment of the people.” It was a gift for our community, by the community.  

To celebrate and bring things full circle, we would like to bring our village together this summer and honour that legacy by giving something back for everyone. 

What still brings people together today…we think food and music.  

So, with that in mind, and to celebrate the 100th birthday of Manley Village Hall, we are going to provide our village with a weekend of food and music, together with some fun and games, that we hope will provide something for everyone. 

On Saturday 6th June we will be providing a summer afternoon feast on the Hall Lawn merging into the evening with live music and an evening barbecue. There will also be some fun and games for those who would like to take part.  

On Sunday 7th June we will be holding an Afternoon Tea Party, complete with vintage stands of finger sandwiches, fancy cakes and yes, scones and cream! There will be some appropriate music to accompany it and some surprise entertainment too.
